Dr. Katie Connors, psychologist

Meet Katie:

I strive to make everyone I work with feel supported and understood. I am passionate about women's issues, feminist-relational therapy, and helping young people challenge their typical way of thinking to develop healthier coping skills. Many of my clients come to my office to work on relationship problems, family issues, personal growth, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image issues, sexual assault, social anxiety, and self-esteem
issues. My goal is to create a warm, comfortable environment in which you can take on this challenging work.

I am certified in Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders in children, teens and young adults and trained in Exposure & Response Prevention for OCD in adults and adolescents.

Meet Alexa:

Dr. Alexa Strelecki is a psychologist currently licensed in NY. We are so lucky that she is working under my supervision until she gets her own Pennsylvania license and private practice in place!

Dr. Alexa specializes in helping young adults and teens who are navigating life transitions and complex relationships. She also enjoys helping children learn to manage anxiety, inattention, and mood fluctuations and incorporates parents into sessions so they can implement strategic changes at home. She has been expertly trained in DBT, interpersonal therapy and evidence-based practice. Dr. Alexa believes that healing begins when she builds a genuine connection with her clients- she truly ensures that each of her clients feel safe, cared about, and understood with her. In addition to seeing clients in the Dunmore office and virtually, she currently teaches a graduate level class on trauma therapy at a local university.

support for parents

Is your teen dreading school or social situations? Are they feeling overwhelmed, on edge, hopeless or depressed? Is your teen dealing with a trauma, isolating from others, or in need of someone objective to talk to?

teen therapy

The most important relationship you will have is with yourself. Therapy can help you learn about your strengths and develop strategies for taking care of yourself when times are tough.
